2nd Energy Inspection: Following implementation of the interventions and issuance of the 2nd Energy Performance Certificate
Following implementation of the interventions, the Program recipient invites the energy inspector to perform a new (2nd) energy inspection. The inspector inspects the residence and issues the relevant EPC.
On the basis of the information on the 2nd EPC, the inspector verifies that the project’s energy targets have been achieved in accordance with the relevant decision for approval, i.e. that the residence has been upgraded by one energy class. For residences classified as class H, where the energy upgrade does not lead to a higher class, an energy efficiency (conservation) higher than the 50% of the energy consumption of the reference building (kWh/m2) is considered sufficient.
As part of this inspection, the energy inspector records in the "Interventions Record – Project Completion Form" τthe interventions implemented which comply with the Program specifications, their cost and the quantities of materials or systems, as these are shown on the documents of expenditure submitted by the recipient (recording of the technical and financial scope of the project).
The respective certificates, for the materials and systems used for the interventions, are checked by the inspector in order to verify that they comply with the Program’s specifications.
It should be noted that the above inspector’s obligations stem from the provisions of Article 15 (2.10) of ΚΕΝΑΚ.
